Information text about the stoat:

The stoat ( Mustela erminea ), also known as the ermine, is a small carnivore belonging to the weasel family ( Mustelidae ). It is widespread in the temperate zones of Europe, Asia, and North America. Stoats are characterized by a slender, elongated body with short legs. In summer, their fur is brown on top and dirty white or yellowish on the underside, while in winter, in colder regions, it becomes entirely white except for the black tip of the tail, providing perfect camouflage in the snow. They inhabit a variety of habitats, but prefer areas near water. Their diet consists mainly of small mammals such as mice and rabbits, but birds and insects are also part of their diet.
